CAPE MAY - The 1859 Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township, becomes a beacon for family fun this summer during Family Fun Days. Kids will enjoy hands-on activities like pirate hat-making, along with performers, kid-friendly entertainment and crafts vendors, all at the base of the lighthouse. Climb the 199 steps to the top and enjoy the best view in Cape May.
Family Fun Days are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, July 3 - July 31 and Aug. 14. Admission is free to activities and there is a separate admission to climb the lighthouse: $7 for adults and $3 for children (ages 3-12). New in 2013! From July 19 - Aug. 1, one child climbs free with each paying adult. The entrance to Cape May Lighthouse is located at 215 Lighthouse Avenue, Cape May Point.
