Dredging News & Hurricane Sandy

The Cove: July 2012

According to my favorite periodical "Dredging Today," more pumped-in sand is headed for Cove Beach this winter. I wonder where the sand will end up a year from now? That rhetorical question is prompted by the fact that they pumped sand into the Cove last year (click that last link to read about it) and that sand is gone, gone, gone.

Yes, there is a Hurricane named Sandy, and yes it may be headed to Cape May.  But I'm optimistic that it's headed elsewhere -- hopefully to sea.  I'll report on the storm as it moves closer to Cape May.
